Thanksgiving and the Holidays

I love this time of year … the Holidays. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It is all about family and friends coming together. It is a time of being together, face to face, and sharing moments in each other’s lives. It is a time of ‘breaking bread’, with no expectations or gifts, just bonding with all those you love and care for, those you call family, friends or acquaintance. Yes, it is my favorite time.

Each year my husband and I host Thanksgiving at our house for our family and their friends. It is a big affair. To list the menu items and the work that goes into it would appear to be exaggerating … but let’s just say we have well over 50 people and honor two traditions; American and Lebanese.

These are important times in our life where memories are created. So, each year we, at the Cedar Water Healing Lodge, try to help create good memories for those less fortunate. We do this by adopting one or more families through these days of celebration, family and home. This year we have been asked to adopt 2 families … one having 3 members, and one with 4. We have chosen to adopte them for both Thanksgiving and Christmas.

For Thanksgiving, we will supply the meals for these 2 families including breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert. In early December we will receive information for their Christmas, and will prepare to supply them with Christmas gifts and meals. If you are interested in helping us with the families, please let me know. We accept credit cards, cash, check or you can click here Paypal.

Many blessings to you and your loved ones.
