To those of you who are not on my mailing list, below is my mid-November update. If you want to be put on the mailing list, fill out the contact form (click here!) and you will be included on our mailing list!
All I can say is ‘WooHoo!’ … no more political advertisements and phone calls!!! (for a while, anyway!). Besides explaining the theme for this month, I want to pass along some information on a change happening at the Lodge, and a couple of reminders of things happening this month.
WOMEN — This Saturday, November 10th, starting at 2:00pm, is our Women’s Only Sweat Lodge Ceremony.
As you know, Gretchen Snell conducts the Sacred Pipe/New Moon Circles at the Lodge. When I saw Gretchen earlier this week we talked about all that is going on in her life right now and how she absolutely needs to cut back on her scheduled time. So, Tuesday, November 13th will be the last Sacred Pipe/New Moon Circle she will be conducting for a while. If you haven’t had the chance to attend one of her Circles, I encourage you to take the opportunity to attend the one next week, starting at 7:30pm.
Also scheduled for that same evening next week is our monthly Reiki Share. Given Gretchen’s decision to take some time off from holding the Circle, we are canceling the Reiki Share for this month so everyone can attend the Circle. So … there will be NO Reiki Share for the month of November.
Our Past Life Regression Workshop is scheduled for Saturday, November 17th, from 9:30am – 2:30pm. We have 3 spots still open, so if you are interested, please let us know as soon as possible!
Now … let’s ‘talk’ about November …
The storms on the East Coast should give you an idea of what this month is about … stormy, tumultuous, wild! When I think about the storm Sandy, and its effects on the eastern coast line, I think about a cleansing. Imagine all of the ‘trash’ (e.g., papers, garbage, junk) that was rutted out of the ‘corners’ of buildings … inside and out. I saw pictures of debris that had been washed out of alleys, subways, shorelines, etc. and moved to other locations. I saw how mounds of sand were built in the middle of streets by the force of the winds and waves that came barreling through the areas. But even with all of the destruction, all I could think of was how similar this ‘cleansing’ was to Katrina. And, that when Mother Earth feels the need to cleanse Herself, there really isn’t anything we, mere humans, can do to stop Her … as she uses her natural resources and forces to ‘scrub’ the earth clean.
Sandy physically touched those who lived, worked and visited the east coast, as well as those of us further in from the eastern seaboard … but her energetic force has been felt around the world. This energetic force has to do with change. I have talked about the year 2012 being about change … and Sandy is a great representation of that change, albeit forced change. Over the past few months I have talked about paying attention to our actions or reactions to certain people, things and events, and whether our actions or reactions were the types that would serve us now and into the future. Last month, October, was a time for us to review our behaviors based on what we noticed in September, and to make decisions concerning what we wanted to keep or not keep in our life, and making appropriate plans to make the changes needed to move us forward in our life’s evolving journey.
Following that same line, in roars November … and Sandy! Cleansing … washing … moving … that which needs to be cleared … making room for change … making room for what is to come! Sandy hit with great force and voracity.
It is important to remember that the energetic force creating this storm came with a different vibrational rate than what was originally here or there, sometimes causing people to feel unfocused, disconnected, spacey, ungrounded, dizzy, strange, even weird. It is important that you take the time to reground yourself. For some people, sitting in a tub of hot water helps to reconnect to what once seemed so familiar. For others, sitting quietly, meditating, praying, or just sitting outside in a natural surrounding can bring you back in alignment with nature’s energetic vibration. No matter what you do, just know that right now our Universe is going through its own great change … and it may take you some time to once again align with its energetic vibration.
We know that the ‘theme’ for 2012 is about change … and as we march ever closer to the end of the year, the more dominant this ‘theme’ becomes. And, as mentioned throughout the year and especially over the past couple of months, this is a time of personal growth … growth to authenticity. Physical, external change is one thing … like moving to a new home, city or state, quitting a job that is unhealthy, starting a new job. However, the changes of November have more to do with emotional, spiritual and mental changes … relationships, decisions, choices, beliefs and truths.
So … this month brings us closer to the end of the Mayan calendar … and the beginning of a new ‘cycle’. As this year 2012 comes to a close, and the Age of Pisces comes to an end … take the time to recognize all those things you do NOT want to take into the new year, the new ‘cycle’, the Age of Aquarius. Let go of those things (people, places, beliefs, burdens) that no longer serve you … or you no longer want to serve you! And, keep in mind that making these changes will probably create a little more ‘storminess’ in your life … but isn’t it all beautiful, fresh and refreshing after a violent storm has raced through and cleansed the Earth? Your life can be just as fresh, clean and buoyant if you stop, take inventory, and let go of the baggage.
So … face the storm! Know where you are going! Let go of those things that are no longer a benefit! Disengage from relationships that feel heavy and burdensome! Engage in those relationships that make you feel expansive, caring, nurturing and gentle! Develop a healthy relationship with Mother Earth and all She has to offer! Disengage from drama and distractions!! And develop a relationship with the Spirit that lives within you! Keep your head up and be ever present … witnessing what is… not what isn’t.
Many blessings to each of you. If you have a story about what is taking place here … please let me hear it! I am always interested in hearing someone else’s story!
PS … Michelle asked that I pass this along to each of you …
